Monotypie - Gumprint Workshops

Monotypie - Gumprint Workshops

Each 2 day Monotypie / Gumprint Workshop has a maximum of 5 participants.  Each person will have his or her individual workstation. There they will learn how to roll, paint or wipe ink on a plexiglass plate, which later will be printed by Tom on an etching press. Collage elements, direct drawing with pencils or tusche can be overprinted with layers of monotype. Gumprinting is an exciting process that actually is paper lithography made from photocopies, which can be combined endlessly with layers of monotype.

Cost: Sfr. 360.- including all materials except paper (Zerkall, 250gm2) Bring something for lunch; when the weather is nice you can eat down by the riverbank. While the printshop is heated, please bring a sweater in the winter as well as old clothes to make art in, and a portfolio that can fit paper in the size 50 x 60 cm so that you may take your prints home.

Parking: The Uferweg is a private street, closed for traffic on the weekends. You may drive to class, but you must call Tom first for parking directions. Please do not drive through on the weekend, my landlord is strict and writes tickets. If you take the train, it is an easy 15 minute walk from the station.
