Work from Printshop / Gallery Tom Blaess 2000 - 2010

Sometimes you have to leave home to find yourseself. It can be said that 20 years after immigrating to Switzerland, American borrn printmaker Tom Blaess has found his identity Aareside in Bern. The Druckatelier / Galerie Tom Blaess Retrospective Show, 2000 2010, is a look back over the last 10 years since he relocated his atelier to Bern from Merligen on the Lake of Thun. In that time Blaess has steadily built up a program of exhibitions and special collaborative projects with number of prominent artists from Switzerland, Germany, Poland, U.S.A., Mexico, Argentina and Australia. On exhibition are prints by 20 prominent artists selected by Blaess from his private collection.

A variety of techniques will be represented, ranging from traditional stone printed lithographs to experimental mix media monotypes, as well as pigment print photographs and contemporary digitally generated images printed on buton paper.
